First is the fact that he wrote a list of his five most memorable break ups. Another
example for his childish behaviour is when he tries to "harm" his ex-girlfriend
by not writing her on this list. In the first chapters he tells the reader about his relationships
and how all of them ended up in a disaster and that every single one of them are a part of his
depression. But the thing which adds most to his depression is the fact that
he misses Laure, his ex-girlfriend and wants to come together with her again.
You really see that he loves music, simply because he is the owner of a record store.
His extreme love for music was also a reason why Laure broke up with him. She tells
him that she couldnīt stand his addiction in music.
Dear Laura,
I write you this letter to comment on you breaking up with me.
I canīt understand why you did it, I really canīt.
But Iīm not lying on the ground crying like a baby like you might think. You think you
are important enough to hurt me with simply breaking up with me?
No! I write this letter to you to show that I donīt need you as much as you think. I do
have my Music Store and itīs going very well. Okay not that well. Itīs not like the
biggest Music Store in town, but itīs enough. And yesterday I met a nice woman who is
a singer. And she liked me and of course I like her as well.
But I got your call. You want to meet me? Do you want to hurt my feeling even more or
whatīs the real reason? But I donīt have a problem with meeting you because Iīm over you!
